Black History Month 2021: Proud To Be

Black History Month 2021: Proud To Be

Following the resounding and thoroughly inspirational Black History Month 2020, the Thinking Schools Academy Trust warmly welcomes the returning art competition to celebrate Black History and Culture once again, for Black History Month 2021.

The theme for this year is “Proud To Be”.

Individual and group projects representing “Proud to Be” are welcomed.  We invite students across the Trust to portray what they are proud to be. For example, Proud to Be Black, Proud to Be Brown, Proud to Be Black & LGBTQ+, Proud to Be Me. The campaign aims to make Black History Month 2021 personal and unique to everyone, focusing on how we’re all making history all the time in our own ways.

This is the second Black History Month Art competition ran by the Trust and it gives our students a chance to use the Trust’s platforms to showcase their artistic talents and celebrate black people in both modern and past history that are important to you and who inspire you.

All entries will be displayed in our online virtual gallery with the judge’s favourites chosen to be displayed in a public display. (Information to follow).
