“Transforming Life Chances”
Children first, Aspire, Challenge, Achieve
The Thinking Schools Academy Trust is made up of a family of schools that work together to “improve the life chances” of all our children and young people. We share a common mission to nurture successful children who are confident and can think and act independently. Our cognitive approach to education defines us but does not create a “one size fits all” or an “academy-way of doing”.
Each member of our family is equally as important and will share in our direction and ethos.
From autumn 2014 there will be 9 Academies in our Trust covering two hubs; Medway and Portsmouth. This includes 3 Secondary and 6 Primary/Junior Academies. We are a successful and rapidly growing Trust and have high expectations for our Academies setting ambitious targets for pupils’ learning and progress.
Our success is due to our strong educational vision of fully integrated thinking schools, our outstanding and driven leaders, dedicated teachers and support staff backed by a committed team of governors.
The greatest asset in our Trust is our staff and the greatest asset of our Trust is our children, young people and their families.
As we grow further our own expectations of what we will achieve grows with us.
I hope you enjoy browsing our new website and it is informative and please follow the links to our individual Academies, our Teaching School Alliance (New Horizons) and to Thinking Schools International which represents our larger network of thinking schools across the UK and beyond.
