Facilities Assistant 

Salary: £20,252 - £23,918 - Please note this is subject to agreement in line with September 2022 salary increases but the amounts shown are a minimum  of what you will earn and if any changes are made they will be increases on the amount shown. 

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: 37 hours per week

Thinking Facilities are looking for a Facilities Assistant to assist the Facilities Manager with overseeing the day-to-day tasks. Your primary location will be based at New Horizons Children’s Academy in Chatham, but will be expected to cover the Chatham Hub (Holcombe Grammar School and The Victory Academy) if necessary.

 

Hours:

Monday to Friday – 7.00 to 15.00 but with flexibility to cover 16.30 to 22.30 if needed.

 

You will be a responsible person and competent in all aspects of site maintenance. It is imperative that our Site Team successfully manage our school premises and associated facilities, ensuring that the premises are secure, safe and well-maintained at all times to reflect the standards of education and behaviour within the school.

What you will need to succeed:

  1. Previous experience as a caretaker or similar
  2. Practical skills in maintenance and cleaning
  3. Experience of managing Health & Safety
  4. Experience of working within an Academy/School is desirable.
  5. A good working knowledge of Microsoft office.
  6. Full clean driving licence with access to own transport
