The Thinking Schools Academy Trust is delighted to announce the opening of Little Thinkers nursery at All Faiths Children’s Academy, Strood; the first Little Thinkers provision in Kent. The purpose-built setting provides high quality early years education and wraparound care for children aged 9 months to 3 years.
This project has been delivered through the School Based Nursery Capital Grant, with All Faiths Children’s Academy selected as one of 300 schools nationally to receive funding to broaden access to early years education.
Little Thinkers, a registered charity with nurseries in Portsmouth and Devon, brings a curiosity led curriculum to its young learners, supported by modern learning spaces, dedicated outdoor areas, and facilities designed for infants and toddlers.
At the opening event, Lauren Edwards, MP for Rochester and Strood, said: “I was delighted to open Little Thinkers Nursery at All Faiths Children’s Academy in Strood – one of the first three hundred nurseries funded by the new Government. I know the nursery will be a big success.”

Sonia Nickerson, Trust Strategic Lead for Little Thinkers, added: “We are incredibly proud to see this beautiful new Little Thinkers provision open its doors to families in Strood. This nursery represents so much more than a building; it’s a space where children will learn, grow, and thrive during the most important years of their development.” Continuing to say: “Expanding the Little Thinkers family into Kent is a milestone for us, and we’re excited to bring our nurturing, child‑centred approach to a new community. We know this provision will make a real difference to local families, offering high‑quality early years education and the support parents need.”
