Thanks to generous funding from Tesco and Torbay Council, they’ve been able to provide five free junior gym memberships as well as purchase new equipment specifically for our junior sessions., This includes resistance bands, medicine balls, agility ladders, cones, and balance pads.
The new equipment allows students in our South West region to enjoy safe, age-appropriate workouts while learning new skills and having fun.
Thinking Fitness is just one part of Thinking Solutions for Education, who provide expert services to schools across the Thinking Schools Academy Trust.
In Brixham, they create programmes to inspire healthy habits and positive experiences for young people in the community, helping them enjoy staying active from the very start.
Led by instructor Kevin Smith, the sessions combine cardio, strength and team challenges to help keep children active, engaged, and motivated.
Year 7 student Finley said: "The session is really fun! Kevin makes it easy to follow, and I like all the games and exercises’’.
Instructor Kevin said: "It’s amazing to see the kids push themselves and enjoy being active at the same time. These sessions aren’t just about fitness they’re about teamwork, confidence, and having fun
“The funding from Tesco and Torbay Council has helped us make exercise more accessible to young people, and we’ve been able to buy fantastic equipment to make the sessions even better for juniors."
