This week, we are celebrating the staff and children at Furzeham Primary and Nursery School, as they formally join the Thinking Schools Academy.
The school, located in Brixham, Torbay, is the twenty-first school to join the Trust alongside our successful schools across Medway, Kent, Plymouth, Torbay, and Portsmouth.
Thinking Schools Academy Trust focuses on encouraging children to become their best selves and develop independence. The school chose to join the Trust as they share these same values and are committed to ensuring that the development of teaching and learning is a core priority.
Furzeham Primary and Nursery School is dedicated to providing an inclusive, nurturing, and high-quality learning environment that inspires children to develop life- long learning skills and enables them to achieve the best future outcomes. Joining the Trust is a natural progression for the school, which will work alongside the Trust’s expert senior leadership team and share knowledge, resources, and best practices with other academies through the Trust’s collaborative networks.
This is an exciting time for Furzeham Primary and the Torbay community as over the coming months, Brixham College who recently joined the Trust in September, will now form a formal partnership and work together to provide children with an all-through school education experience.
